Simple. Hotel management has decreed that insipid pop music (and I love pop music) is to be played at volume and at all times through two tinny speakers. It’s driving me nuts. I turn myself into the type of guest dreaded by reception staff, with a daily request for this musical mucus to be turned off. Am I really the only guest to find it offensive?
